About Grove

Grove is a fiber tracker for iPhone, made by one person: me, James McKinney. I run a small software company called JPM Inc in Michigan, and Grove has been live on the App Store since March 2026.

Why a fiber app

I built Grove because I could not find a fiber tracker that was not either buried inside a full calorie-counting app or too bare to be useful. Most nutrition apps make you log every calorie, every macro, every micronutrient just to answer one question: am I getting enough fiber? Grove tracks that one thing and does it well. You search real foods from the USDA database, log in a tap or two, and watch your day climb the hill.

How it works as a business

You get the whole app for 7 days. No card and no account. After that, Grove needs a Grove+ plan to keep going. Grove+ is $7.99 a month or $49.99 a year. There are no ads, and I do not sell data. Grove has no server that stores your food log. Subscriptions are the only way Grove makes money, so the app answers to you, and to no advertiser.
