About Grove

Grove is a fiber tracker for iPhone, made by one person: me, James McKinney. I run a small software company called JPM Inc in Michigan, and Grove has been live on the App Store since March 2026.

Why a fiber app

I built Grove because I could not find a fiber tracker that was not either buried inside a full calorie-counting app or too bare to be useful. Most nutrition apps make you log every calorie, every macro, every micronutrient just to answer one question: am I getting enough fiber? Grove tracks that one thing and does it well. You search real foods from the USDA database, log in a few taps, and watch your daily ring fill up.

How it works as a business

The download costs nothing, and Grove+ unlocks the full experience through a monthly or yearly subscription. There are no ads, and I do not sell data. Your food logs stay on your phone, where I could not read them if I wanted to. Subscriptions are the only way Grove makes money, so the app answers to you, not advertisers.
